How We Calculate Pricing
Our subscription pricing is based on the number of questions in each category. We use a fair formula that scales with content size:
P = 0.157 × Q0.78
Where:
- P = Monthly subscription price (in AUD, including GST)
- Q = Number of questions in the category
- 0.157 = Base rate constant
- 0.78 = Scaling exponent (provides diminishing cost per question as quantity increases)
Multi-month discounts:
- 3-month subscription: 2.5 × monthly price (save 17%)
- 12-month subscription: 10 × monthly price (save 17%)
All prices are in AUD, include GST, and are rounded up to the nearest $5n + $4.95 (e.g., $4.95, $9.95, $14.95, $19.95, $24.95, etc.)
Pricing Examples
Example 1: Small category with 50 questions
- Monthly: 0.157 × 500.78 = 0.157 × 21.88 = $3.43 → rounds to $4.95
- 3-month: $3.43 × 2.5 = $8.58 → rounds to $9.95
- Annual: $3.43 × 10 = $34.30 → rounds to $34.95
Example 2: Medium category with 200 questions
- Monthly: 0.157 × 2000.78 = 0.157 × 72.93 = $11.45 → rounds to $14.95
- 3-month: $11.45 × 2.5 = $28.63 → rounds to $29.95
- Annual: $11.45 × 10 = $114.50 → rounds to $114.95
Example 3: Large category with 500 questions
- Monthly: 0.157 × 5000.78 = 0.157 × 157.49 = $24.73 → rounds to $24.95
- 3-month: $24.73 × 2.5 = $61.82 → rounds to $64.95
- Annual: $24.73 × 10 = $247.30 → rounds to $249.95
This formula ensures that larger question banks provide better value per question, while keeping pricing fair and transparent for all category sizes.
